Stacking the Shelves (6): My Third Vlog

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews to showcase any books that I have received for review, bought, borrowed, or won to read.

This week, I made my third vlog, in which I am intense about dragons, excited about maps in books, and say the word "excellent" a lot:

What Happens Next by Colleen Clayton

  1. Oh I'm waiting for my copy of False Prince to arrive! Can't wait to read it! And I agree bout books with maps, there's just something about them :-)

    Happy reading!

  2. I like books with maps as well. I'm always flipping to back see where the characters are going!

  3. Ooh what happens next is SO GOOD! I hope you love it as much! And books with maps! EEK! That's a big sign I won't like it O_O They're intimidating! haha. Great vlog, chickie!

  4. Throne of Glass & The False Prince ♥ Both very high up on my reading list! Can't wait to read your reviews on both, I'll be keeping an eye out :) Great post Aylee & thanks for sharing!

  5. Throne of glass <3 The map is great huh :D but the story is also amazing! And I really want to read The false prince.

    Happy reading!

  6. What Happens Next sounds good. I hadn't heard of it before.

I love the Iron Hearted Violet cover.

  7. Creepy cover on Darkwater! I haven't heard of that one, either. I have heard of What Happens Next ... it sounds really awesome!

I ALWAYS gloss over the maps in books. Always. Maybe I should actually look at them sometime.

    Enjoy your books!

  8. What Happens Next looks like a great read! I hope you enjoy all you got :)

    Here's my STS!

  9. I've heard some pretty good things about What Happens Next. I'm glad you loved it! I might have to pick it up. :P Throne of Glass was sooo amazing!! I have three copies of the book now because I wanted every single edition in the world LOL! I hope you enjoy The False Prince. :) I've seen it around a lot but I haven't read it yet.. it sounds pretty cool though!

  10. I really have to pick up a copy of What Happens Next : Jenni's review really made me want to read this one badly ! I have a copy of Throne of Glass but still haven't read it.. Happy reading Aylee !

  11. She does look like Merida! haha It's funny that you mention the maps because when I pick up a book and flip it open to see a map I drop it and run! Oooh I had never heard of this bookurious, I'll hae to look that up. I love your vlogs so much and I find you feel totally comfortable to me! Keep it up chick!

  12. I love maps too!! Shadow and Bone has a map and it made me giddy LOL. I need to read more contemporary, too. It's out of my comfort zone and I assume I'm not going to like it, but if you gave it a chance then maybe I should too.... Cute vlog :)

  13. I need to read Iron-Hearted Violet---it looks so good!!

  14. I am super excited for What Happens Next & Throne of Glass. Have you checked out the Throne of Glass Novellas by any chance?

    Here's My IMM/STS

  17. Aylee, I LOVED The False Prince so much so I'm crossing my fingers, hope you love it as much too. :)

  18. You made me want to read What Happens Next so much, I don't usually go for issue books but now I got it on top of my wish list!

And I hear you about books with maps! I like imagining it how everything fits and how the different places would look like, and maps are awesome helping me get there.

I hope you enjoy all your books :D

  19. I don't know why I thought you were British. But I DID. Think I even watched one of your videos before, and still this notion was in my head. I think that's, like, racist (because of the whole HP thing). Bad Princess.

Anyway, has anybody ever mentioned you have a compelling voice, even without the accent xD? Seriously, I feel like I HAVE to read What Happens Next now, and your review really caught my attention. Especially because it's not your usual read. And I NEED, NEED, NEED to buy Throne of Glass! I not only loved the book BUT I HAD NO IDEA SUCH A BEAUTIFUL MAP AWAITS ME!

I love, love, LOVED The False Prince. Small Review's book review of that remains one of my hands-down favorite reviews of the book, so much so I can't even bring myself to review it because it would fall well under par to anything she's already said about it. :D

  20. Yay for reading outside your comfort zone. I need to get better at doing that. I hope you enjoy all the books you have to read. Looks like you have a lot to keep you busy for a while.
