Top Ten Sequels I Can't Wait To Get My Hands On

This week's topic is...

Top Ten Sequels I Can't Wait To Get My Hands On

Oh boy. There are a TON of sequels that I am DYING to read. And as you will see, a few upcoming sequels made my list in which I haven't even read the previous book in the series yet, so I have some catching up to do. Here is a small sampling of sequels I am waiting to get my hands on:
Dreams of Gods & Monsters (Daughter of Smoke & Bone #3) by Laini Taylor
Knowing Laini Taylor, she no doubt has a totally epic conclusion planned for this unbelievably imaginative series.

Isla and the Happily Ever After (Anna and the French Kiss #3) by Stephanie Perkins
This sequel has been 3 years in the making. But I am happy to wait however long it takes for a new Stephanie Perkins book!

Sunrise (Ashfall #3) by Mike Mullin
Oh man, I've come to care so much for Alex and Darla over the course of this series and I am absolutely invested in what happens next (hopefully a happy ending!)!

The Unbound (The Archived #2) by Victoria Schwab
The Archived was one of the most creative books I've ever read. So of course I'm anxious to get my hands on the sequel!

Raging Star (Dust Lands #3) by Moira Young
Still need to read Rebel Heart (Dust Lands #2)! But I recall Blood Red Road (Dust Lands #1) was a phenomenally awesome book.

Cress (Lunar Chronicles #3) by Marissa Meyer
Still need to read Scarlet (Lunar Chronicles #2)! But if my love for Cinder (Lunar Chronicles #1) was anything to go by, I am sure I will love them both.

No Covers Yet:
Ruin and Rising (The Grisha #3) by Leigh Bardugo
Leigh Bardugo thrilled and amazed with the first two books in the series, so I think it's promising to expect great things from this finale.

The Infinite Sea (The Fifth Wave #2) by Rick Yancey
This series has great potential and Rick Yancey is an amazing writer so I really can't wait to see where this series goes.

Mortal Heart (His Fair Assassin #3) by R.L. LaFevers
Still need to read Dark Triumph (His Fair Assassin #2)! I still frequently think about Grave Mercy (His Fair Assassin #1) though because it was THAT good.

City of Heavenly Fire (The Mortal Instruments #6) by Cassandra Clare
Still need to read City of Lost Souls (The Mortal Instruments #5)! I can't say I was a big supporter of this trilogy turning into a six-book series. But I will follow it through to the end because I adore the characters and I am curious to see what'll happen next.

  12. Ahhhh Dreams of Gods & Monsters!! ♥ I couldn't agree more with that as your first choice, I SO NEED that book in my life as well :D I picture myself reading DoG&M and then jumping straight into and entire series re-read...Laini's trilogy deserves that I think :) although, I may just drown in feels LOL Oh and I still need to read Ashen Winter but YES to Sunrise - what an addictive and incredible ride that is/will be! Same goes for Cress, I still need to read Scarlet but man, I love the world and characters Meyer's created so far!

Dustlands and the Archived are two HIGHLY anticipated series to get into for me...and while I have gripped about The Mortal Instruments on many accounts, I still did get a bit addicted somewhere in there so I need to know how it will all end! Brilliant TTT picks Aylee ♥

  13. Mortal Heart and The Infinite Sea are very high on my list too. I simply must learn Annith's story, it has so much potential. I have a feeling it could be the best of the three, and that's saying a lot after Sybella. Oh, and we need to learn the end of Saba's story too, and soon! I'm so excited!
    Great picks, Aylee.

  14. nice list! I didn't do the topic this week because I'm horrible at keeping up with series. However, though I still need to read Lola's story, I am excited about Isla and the Happily Ever After. Also, I need to read The Archived but it's on my list so I hope I can get to it in time for the sequel.

  18. I'm actually waiting for Isla too but it's taking for freaking ever! I went online the other day to buy it for my friend 'cause last time I checked was coming around her birthday and lo and behold, it was moved to next year :(
    it's just sad.

  19. I was excited for Isla as well. But I don't really understand why it's taking so long. So I've basically stopped waiting for it. I'm excited for you to read Scarlet, and find out what you think. And I am still waiting for my copy of Archived to show up at the library- someday.

    Great list!

  20. Ok, literally every single book on your list is on my "read as soon as they come out!" list in my TBR pile. It's hard to believe how many quality series I'm in the middle of right now, but I guess that's a good thing, right? There's always a new series book coming out each week it seems. Great list!

    Great picks!
