Stacking the Shelves (11) and Vlog (8)

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews to showcase any books that I have received for review, bought, borrowed, or won to read.

In this overdue book haul vlog, I overuse the word exciting and swear I am not a stalker:

For Review:
Unbreakable by Elizabeth Norris (Thanks to HarperCollins Canada!)
The End Games by T. Michael Martin (Thanks to HarperCollins Canada!)
This Is What Happy Looks Like by Jennifer E. Smith (Thanks to Hachette Book Group Canada!)
The Eternity Cure by Julie Kagawa (Thanks to HarlequinTeen and NetGalley!)

Traded:
The Demon's Lexicon by Sarah Rees Brennan
Please Ignore Vera Dietz by A.S. King
Goliath by Scott Westerfeld

Mentioned in vlog:
T. Michael Martin's YouTube Channel

In other news, I've been GIF'd!! Bahaha!!!!

  1. Unbreakable! So jealous! I can't wait to read your review for it. I loved the first one a lot. :) The End Games and The Demon's Lexicon are on my pile, too. I loved Sarah Rees Brennan's Unspoken, so I'm really looking forward to starting the latter.

Lovely haul, Aylee! I hope you enjoy all your new books. x

  2. OMG, ok so much fun stuff going on here! Firstly, I love your vlog's, you're adorable. Second, that gif is brilliant & hilarious LOL go you! Third, referencing Harry/Draco fan-fict = WIN :D I read some too back in the day (nothing from the Restricted Section either though I have heard of those...and seem Tom Felton reference them on multiple occasions haha) but I can't remember if it was from Sarah Rees Brennan. I'll have to check out The Demon's Lexicon in any event.

I definitely want to read Unraveling, The Immortal Rules AND End Games! Congrats on the SWEET Goliath find, I only have book 1, which I haven't read yet either but it sounds like such a fun series! Congrats on ALL of these Aylee & enjoy

    1. Awwe, THANK YOU!

Bahaha, oh so many "restricted section" fanfics out there! It was kind of crazy and I remember thinking they were so scandalous at the time (in junior high). It's good that Tim Felton can make fun of himself. Maybe you might have even read some of Sarah Rees Brennan's work! I was excited for her when she published The Demon's Lexicon!

  5. Hahah- I laughed when I first watched your 'bitch please'. I'm glad it's been gif'd. I read Jennifer's first novel and I liked it, but I can't say that I am looking forward to it as much as others are. I am curious about it. I hope you enjoy.

  14. Oh my god!! Best vlog of the week goes to...

    YOU!!!!

    <3333

I cannot believe I haven't finished The Demon's Lexicon!! I only have like 10% left... And Harry/Draco huh? I'm not a Harry Potter fan, of the books... So I wouldn't know hehehe But that sounds interesting :D

Yay for you getting that book you so much wanted!!!

This Is What Happy Looks Like!!! I NEED that book!! I really enjoyed the first one so I cannot wait to read more from the author and
    The Eternity Cure?!
    PERFECTION!

Though unlike you, I'm a huge fan of the old cover since it was actually a scene in the book... :( But I guess what I don't like in general is book covers being changed when in the middle of publishing a series or trilogy... I'm a cover lover/addict/obsessed person and if the covers don't match... I get cranky :(

    Anyway.

Hope you enjoy all the books that you got! The only books I've read from Scott are the Uglies series And they were EPIC EPIC EPIC!!

    Happy Reading!
Here 's what I got this week if you'd like to stalk!

    1. Aww, YOU JUST MADE MY NIGHT WITH YOUR COMMENT!! Seriously, I am so very, very pleased that someone liked my vlog this much.

Yup, the Harry/Draco thing was very interesting indeed, heehee!

I am right there with you on mid-series book cover changes though - it SUCKS so much if you have already bought one cover and they decide to change it up and go in another direction. I'm pretty anal about my covers matching too. Ugghh, curse them and their cover changes!

Still need to read Uglies, as well as the Leviathan series, but it is so exciting to hear that you think so highly of it!

Hahaha, now I will stalk you :)

  15. Please Ignore Vera Dietz was quite good!!! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. It has a mystery element to it, making it hard to put down. Its one of those which starts in the present, but keeps going back in time to fill in the details. Its very addictive, plus even though its a serious story, the MC is humorous and fun to read about.

    And nice GIF ;)
