For Review
Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers (From Houghton Mifflin Harcourt/NetGalley)
Masque of the Red Death by Bethany Griffin (HarperCollins/Edelweiss)
Unraveling by Elizabeth Norris (HarperCollins/Edelweiss)
Insignia by S.J. Kincaid (HarperCollins/Edelweiss)
I have already read and reviewed Grave Mercy (I loved it!). I'm reading Masque of the Red Death currently and I'm super excited to get to Unraveling and Insignia soon. Has anyone read these books yet, and if so, what did you think of them?
Purchased
Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver
Crossed by Ally Condie
Liesl and Po by Lauren Oliver
I'm so excited to read Pandemonium and Crossed, sequels to two books that I loved. I've heard mixed reviews about both of them, but I'm eager to read them for myself anyway. I read Liesl and Po when it was made available for free online, and loved it so much that I needed to own a finished copy!
Won
Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta (From The Bursting Bookshelf)
Thanks to Anna from The Bursting Bookshelf for getting this book for me! I have lost count how many times Melina Marchetta's books have been recommended to me. So now I finally plan to take the plunge and make Jellicoe Road my first ever Melina Marchetta read!
Fantastic books! I just received Grave Mercy in the mail yesterday and I am excited to read it! I hope you enjoy Unraveling, I am super excited for it!
ReplyDeleteI really must read Grave Mercy- I have read only good things about it!
ReplyDeleteAnd not going to lie, I was pretty on the fence about Crossed, hopefully you will like it better than I!
Awesome mailbox Aylee!
Yeah, I know. I'm a little nervous about Crossed because of some of the reviews I've read, but who knows.
DeleteDang that is one cool stack! Enjoy! Happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteI have a copy of Jellicoe Road sitting on my shelves since practically the dawn of the bookshelf, and I still haven't read it! Grave Mercy! Ahh, so jelly.
ReplyDeleteGreat IMM. I loved Pandemonium more than Delirium, but I got distracted a few pages into Crossed and have yet to finish it. I've so got to read Leisl and Po.
ReplyDeleteHmm, well that's good to hear about Pandemonium, not so good about Crossed.
DeleteI loved Grave Mercy! Unraveling sounds awesome and I still need to read Crossed and Pandemonium. I got Masque of the Red Death and Insignia this week as well. Enjoy your books :)

Oh looks like an exciting mailbox for you. After listening to Liesl and Po as an audiobook, I think it would be one I'd really like to own for my personal library. As for Grave Mercy, I'm going to have to go read your review, saw it on NG, but passed, I have too many other obligations. Jellico Rd is one I'll be reading later this year, so cool you'll read it too. I'd love to see what you think. I also just got my hands on both Pandemonium and Crossed (both on audio) I'll be getting to those soon I sure hope. Enjoy your books this week!
ReplyDeleteOoh yes, I'm sure you would love a non-audiobook copy of Liesl and Po because think of all the great illustrations you're missing out on! They were tiny when I saw them on my computer screen, so I'm looking forward to looking at them in the finished copy! And yeah, of course I'm curious to see what you think of all these as well!
DeleteOMG you got AWESOME books!! Masque of the Red Death looks amaaazing..it's published over here later this year and I cannot wait for it. Unraveling looks good too, also have a copy of that. Once you've read Jellicoe Road you really need to read Saving Francesca, one of my favourite books EVER
ReplyDeleteThe Cait Files

DeleteI still need to read a book by Melinda Marchetta too! Jellicoe Road sounds really great and so does Masque of the Red Death! I hope you're having an awesome weekend Aylee!
ReplyDeleteOooh, so jelly that you got Masque for review! I can't wait to see what you think - it is on my TBR list for sure!
ReplyDeleteGreat haul Aylee! I have an egalley of Grave Mercy so I can't start reading it soon. Pandemonium is awesome, so much better than Delirium in my opinion. And the one that got me excited the most is Jellicoe Road! Seriously, that book is the best contemporary novel I've ever read. You may want to read all Marchetta's works after reading it.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I hear about her books!

AWESOME BOOK WEEK AYLEE!!! Unraveling was one that really wasn't on my radar at all, but I got lucky and won a copy and it just blew me away! I absolutely adored it:) Can't wait to see what you think of it and Masque of the Red Death!
ReplyDeleteSo good to hear that about Unraveling! I haven't really been loving Grave Mercy, so I'm eager to move on to Unraveling now.
DeleteWhat a fantastic mailbox!!! I really really want to read Unraveling, everyone's gushing about it. I recently finished Grave Mercy and overall I liked it. I really hope you love Pandemonium, I liked it a lot better than Delirium. Also, Jellicoe Road seems like one of those classic YA novels I should read really soon. I hope you enjoy your books, Aylee! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm curious to see whether I'll like Pandemonium more or less than Delirium, as everyone seems to be split of their opinions.
DeleteMelina Marchetta!!! Any mailbox with MM in it is WIN!! True Story.
ReplyDeleteNice IMM! Hope you enjoy all of them :) I so want to read Masque. Happy reading!!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to get my hands on my very own copy of Crossed! I loved Matched so much, even though a lot of people said it was way too slow. I loved Ally Condie's writing style, she's AMAZING!

I agree! I loved her writing so much, I didn't even notice that the pacing was slow.
DeleteI have Unraveling, but I'm not sitting on the fence about it. I sounds like it could be awesome, or fall into every YA paranormal trap. I think now I'll wait for your review. You can be my guinea pig :)
