The Madman's Daughter by Megan Shepherd (Thanks to HarperCollins!)
Mind Games by Kiersten White (Thanks to HarperCollins!)
Taken by Erin Bowman (Thanks to HarperCollins!)
The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay (Thanks to Atria Books!)
Christmas Gifts (Thanks to the bf!):
The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater
The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater
John Green Box Set (Looking for Alaska, An Abundance of Katherines, Paper Towns, The Fault in Our Stars)
OMG! You're so right about Edelweiss, it drives me nuts that sometimes you're notified and others you're not. And, like, I got this request that is still pending from last year, like may of last year, and the book isn't even available anymore but it's stil pending. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I got the Sea of Tranquility too, I didn't know it was so dark! now I'm worried. But will see.
Also, I've never read John's books either, and I've been following the VlogBrothers since 2008 at least. I tried to read Alaska once or twice but never made it past chapter two. I hope you have better luck than I did. :D
Oh awesome books! I've actually seen Scorpio Races everywhere and I seriously need to get on that bandwagon and read it already.

Oooh, your boyfriend got you some AMAZING books! I haven't read a Maggie Stiefvater book either, but they look so good. And I'm a huge John Green fan. I loooove Looking for Alaska and TFiOS. Hope you enjoy them! :D
ReplyDeleteA Maggie Christmas. Nice!
ReplyDeleteAh the John Green box set! It's beautiful! You need to read his books!!! I also got The Scorpio Races for Christmas and I've heard it's amazing, so I'm super excited to read it, even though I wasn't a big fan of Maggie's Shiver series. Have fun reading all your books!

I was eyeing the John Green box set as a Christmas present for my sister-- it looks so awesome, and we've only read The Fault in Our Stars and Will Grayson-- but ended up not getting it because of the $$$. You have a great bf!
ReplyDeleteI really liked The Scorpio Races; it's a really unique premise and Maggie Stiefvater is awesome. Haven't read The Raven Boys, but I can't wait to. Happy reading all these fantastic books!
Oooh awesome!!! I want to read the Raven Boys!!! Lots of people are getting Sea of Tranq. I need to grab a copy!

Weeeee congrats on the sweet Holiday haul Aylee :D I SO want to read The Raven Boys & The Scorpio Races. I haven't read any Maggie Stiefvater either but I've heard SO many great things about her! I also really wanting to read The Archived, Mind Games & Taken! Oh and that Boxed Set is lovely :) Enjoy all your goodies & happy reading!!
ReplyDeleteI honestly cannot wait until you've read something by John Green. Really. That is an amazing box set and a fantastic gift. I just finished The Raven Boys earlier today and I really liked it. I wasn't a huge fan of Maggie's Wolves of Mercy Falls series, but I think this one is much better.
ReplyDeleteHappy Reading!
Oooo, The John Green Box Set. That is awesome. Enjoy all your goodies. Happy reading :)
ReplyDeleteThe Madman's Daughter! Such a pretty cover -- I'm so intrigued!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure what to think of mysteries yet ... they can be really hit or miss for me.
I have Mind Games, too ... though I haven't checked out any other works by Kirsten, either.
Yay for the John Green boxset! I soooo want that! YOU MUST READ THEM ALL! I can't believe you've been following them for so long, but have never read anything by John! Get on it!
Enjoy all your books. :)
Awesome books this week. I haven't read any of these books, but have heard a lot of good things about them all. I have Sea of Tranquillity to read and the others are on my wishlist. They all look awesome. Happy reading.

Oh, you look so SHVEET when you talk about your boyfriend. And frankly he knows what he's doing because he, like you don't already know, GOT YOU THE JOHN GREEN BOX SET. No worries, I haven't read his books either. Even though The Fault In Our Stars is beckoning from its perch on my second shelf. And Maggie does write REALLY well.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Harper Collins rocks my chairs! They approve you when you need them to. Mostly. I don't want to mention this but.... THEY DIDN'T APPROVE ME FOR THROUGH THE EVER NIGHT AND REQUIEM AND I JUST WANT TO SOB ALL MY WILL TO LIVE AWAY. But other than that, they really are great. I'm glad to see we'll be reading Mind Games together. AND DUDE. Read Paranormalcy. Please. You'll have a laugh, and it will bring me joy.
I also got The Sea of Tranquility this week! I hope we both enjoy it :)

Great haul! So many great books I'd love to have myself.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!
My haul.
P.s.: I feel your blog title pain... :(
I have mind games to review too, in the uk it's called sister-assassin though! Loved the paranormalcy series!
ReplyDeleteEdelweiss is nuts not emailing to let you know they've been accepted! I think I've only ever had one email from them!
Loved Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater, must read her other books soon!
Well done to your boyfriend for buying you such awesome books! I got a cookery book!
I don't normally check out people's stacking the shelves, but I like that you do vlogs for them because it feels more like you're having a friendly convo about what books you got and it's way more fun that way :)
ReplyDeleteI heard the agent speak about acquiring Madman's Daughter at a guest speaking event at my grad school, so I'm excited to read that one!
I've read all of Maggie Stiefvater's books EXCEPT for Scorpio Races and Raven Boys. I started Raven Boys this weekend and I'm spellbound. I think Maggie's writing has gotten even more sophisticated. I really hope you enjoy her! (And she's FREAKING AWESOME in person, so you must hear her speak at some point!)
And enjoy John Green! I've only read Looking For Alaska and Fault in Our Stars, so I'll be watching for your reviews of his other books!
Happy reading!!!

LOL I watched this a few days ago but I remember loving the Erin Bowman part, I didn't know she was up for grabs on NG :-P Such a great BF you have! I really need to read a Maggi Stefvater book too, I haven't read one, I think my first would probably be The Scorpio Races, I hear nothing but good things about it. I hope you enjoy all of your new goodies, Aylee!
ReplyDeleteThe John Green box set looks awesome. I've never read anything by him, but I've heard such good things!
ReplyDeleteOh I'm so jealous of the John Green box set. That sounds amazing! I really want to read The Archived too, so I hope you enjoy it. I've been hearing some awesome things!
ReplyDelete-Lauren
I've been eyeing that John Green box set for a while and I think I'll have to get it. No choice about it really. I'm weak like that. I am also excited about The Archived. And you're right about Edelweiss not notifying regularly, it's annoying and I've missed a book once. The Madman's Daughter was very creepy, my review is scheduled soon.
ReplyDeleteHappy reading!
I loved The Sea of Tranquility - have a box of tissues handy and I just finished Mind Games - definitely not as humorous as the Paranormalcy series :-))
ReplyDeleteGreat mailbox!
